Instructions for use:
For clothing:
- Put the garment in the washing machine,
- Wash using Nikwax Down Wash,
- Reset the washing machine settings and add Nikwax Down Proof to the washing machine dispenser,
- Set the washing machine to a warm water wash cycle, turn on the washing machine and let it run until the cycle is complete,
- You can also apply Nikwax during normal hand washing,
- To dry, but only if allowed by the product label, spin three times and tumble dry until all down clumps are gone,
- To break up the down clumps formed during drying, you can use clean tennis balls or sports shoes (which will not melt) placed in a clean pillowcase.
For equipment:
- Submerge the sleeping bags in lukewarm water in a bowl or tub,
- Add product, stir and leave to soak for 5 to 10 minutes,
- Rinse under running water, will allow to drain and gently squeeze excess water from the sleeping bag,
- To dry, but only if the label allows it, spin three times and tumble dry until all the down clumps are gone,
- To break up the resulting "down clumps," clean tennis balls or athletic shoes (which will not melt) placed in a clean pillowcase can be used during drying.
Dosage:
- To wash clothes, use 3 full caps (150 ml) per piece of clothing and 6 full caps (300 ml) per two pieces of clothing,
- For washing sleeping bags, use 6 full caps (300 ml) per 4 cm (depth) of water in the bathtub (once every 3-4 seasons it is recommended to clean or impregnate sleeping bags at professional service centers such as specialized laundries).
