The 30-round MTF 5.56 magazine was developed as a replacement for the standard STANAG magazine. The MFT's fine texture, low-profile front ribs and expanded footplate help with magazine retrieval and replacement. The reinforced footplate is drop-resistant, and also has a dot-matrix panel on which we can use a marker to apply our own markings. The use of a narrower footplate makes the magazine fit into low-profile 2 or 3 chamber holds.

The magazine has 2 drainage holes, responsible in field conditions for the free drainage of water that can get inside the magazine. To disassemble the magazine and no tools are needed, just press the two catches (buttons) in the lid and slide the bead off. This allows the user to safely eject the spring along with the pusher.
