Proper care of technical clothing is extremely important, because soiled down absorbs water more easily and loses its drape and, consequently, its insulating properties. Nikwax Down Wash also takes care of the good condition of the DWR coating, which repels water and dirt.

Instructions for use:
- Sleeping bags and extra-large jackets are best washed by hand in a bathtub or large bowl, then spun in the washing machine.
- It is recommended to use undiluted Nikwax Down Wash Direct directly on stubborn stains even before washing. Remove any non-washable items. Shake before use. Follow the directions on the label. Do not use regular detergents.
Machine wash (down clothing only):
- Remove any powder residue from the dispenser.
- Place a maximum of two garments in the washing machine.
- Pour 100 ml of Nikwax Down Wash Direct into the powder dispenser.
- Wash according to the instructions on the label - low temperature and slow spin preferred.
- After the wash cycle is complete, spin the garment multiple times, with the spin speed increasing each time to remove excess water.
