The body is made of Magpul's patented polymer, the composition of which is kept secret. Thanks to the reinforced construction, the magazine is resistant to falling, crushing and breaking, that is, to almost all hazards as can affect the damage and permanent destruction of the magazine. Durability and reliable operation are achieved through the use of a stainless steel spring and a tilt-controlled pusher. The magazine uses an orange tappet with increased visibility. The PMAG 17 GL9 smoothly ejects from the handle regardless of whether it is empty or loaded. The PMAG 1 GL9 magazine with a capacity of 17 cartridges is compatible with all full-size, compact and sub-compact Glock 9mm variants powered by a double-row magazine.

The functionality of the magazine in field conditions is ensured by a simple and well-thought-out design, so no tools are needed to unfold the magazine. The magazine foot is reinforced, which increases its resistance to falling and damage. Convenience of use is improved by side sights, thanks to which we can check whether the magazine is fully loaded. On the footplate there is a gridded panel, on which, using a marker, we can apply our own markings.
