As in previous versions, the PMAG has a polymer body, the composition of which is kept secret, Thanks to its reinforced construction , the magazine is resistant to falling, crushing and breaking, that is, to almost all hazards as can affect the damage and permanent destruction of the magazine. Durability and reliable operation are achieved by using a USGI-standard stainless steel spring and a self-leveling pusher. The follower was made of synthetic resin with self-lubricating and anti-hygroscopic properties. The tappet guides are designed to prevent the tilt of the tappet, which usually leads to dysfunctions in ammunition feeding. The functionality of the magazine in field conditions is ensured by a simple and well-thought-out design, so no tools are needed to unfold the PMAGA. There is a stop on the wall of the PMAGA, which prevents the magazine from seating too deeply in the socket. The PMAG M3 has walls with a more aggressive texture, which improves the grip of the magazine when the hand is sweaty or dirty. The magazine foot has been slightly reinforced and rallied, which makes it easier to retrieve the magazine from the 2/ 3 chambered loader and increases the drop resistance of this component.
