Shuriken is a throwing knife with a distinctive star shape, which was originally used by secret ninja warriors during the feudal period of Japan. The Mikov X 722 N7 is shaped like a symmetrical four-armed star with a thickness of 2.8 mm. Each of the 4 arms has two cutting edges with a flat grind and a strong hilt, which effectively increases the chances of driving the knife into the target. Thanks to its simple design devoid of additional elements, the dartboard is resistant to mechanical damage to which the knife is exposed when learning to throw.
The center of gravity is located in the center of the knife, so we can repetitively throw the knife regardless of which arm we hold it by.
The minimal weight (23 g) makes it possible to develop proper technique and accuracy at a short distance with the dart after a short training. The knife is made entirely of 420 stainless steel. Hardening to a hardness of 52-55 HRC, the blade dulls quite quickly, but sharpens just as easily. Therefore, even with an ordinary pocket sharpener we are able to sharpen the knife efficiently in a short time, which is extremely important for a knife used in the field. 420 steel is characterized by high corrosion resistance, so it does not require special maintenance and care.
