TheTikka T3X CTR is a compact rifle that guarantees a focus of less than 1 MOA, right out of the box and with optics mounted. The rifle owes such high precision to the use of a floating barrel with a 1:11 thread pitch and a trigger mechanism that is adjustable from 10 N to 20 N (about 1 to 2 kg). The barrel terminates in a 5/8×24 male thread. The polymer bed has an enlarged pistol grip, fluting in critical areas, a soft rubber footplate to reduce recoil energy and an adjustable cheek piece. The manufacturer also offers the option of changing the pistol grip and shuttle (available separately). A foam insert is installed in the flask to reduce vibrations and dampen firing noise. Shooting performance and comfort are provided by an enlarged shell ejector window, Teflon-coated lock, T3X system breech chamber, reinforced breech cover, improved steel bolt.
The rifle is fed from a single-row, detachable magazine with a capacity of 10 cartridges. A two-position fuse locks the trigger mechanism (with accelerator) and the breech lever. A Picatinny standard rail is used for mounting optics. This model uses an adjustable cheek-piece stock, which allows the shooter to comfortably assemble for the shot regardless of his anatomy and optics/mounting height.
