Ripcord is an easy-to-use barrel tube cleaning tool, which, unlike the traditional gun string, has a rigid construction. The rigid rubber core with a spiral shape firmly presses the cleaning surface, effectively and efficiently removing carbon buildup and other contaminants from the barrel tube. The cord is pulled from the side of the cartridge chamber toward the barrel exit, which is exactly the way the bullet travels. Using the Ripcord Otis, we don't have to remove/remove the breech or disassemble the self-reloading weapon. The flexible Ripcord can be easily rolled up and carried with you at all times. The braided layer of flame-retardant Nomex fibers means that the cord can be used to clean the barrel immediately after shooting without worry. The Nomex fibers additionally act as a brush that effectively collects and removes dirt.
The OTIS Ripcord has an 8/32" threaded end on both two ends, to which we can attach OTIS accessories of our choice, e.g. a T-grip. It can be used even directly after shooting on a hot barrel. Inside there is a rubber spiral, which ensures perfect filling of the entire barrel section. On the outside it is covered with Nomex® fiber, which acts as a brush to collect dirt.
