TheF 21/80-P3 filter is designed for the MT213/2 gas mask, but it fits any version equipped with Rd 40×1/7" thread (EN-148-1). The housing of the FP 21/80 filter is made of plastic resistant to mechanical damage, corrosion and weather conditions. The lifetime of the filter absorber depends on the sensitivity of the user's odor threshold. However, it can not exceed the value of the PAC (the highest permissible concentration sensed by the user's sense of smell). When using a filter absorber for protection against mercury vapor, its total operating time must not exceed 50 hours.
F 21/80-P3 provides respiratory protection against organic compounds, inorganic compounds, except carbon monoxide, acid gases and vapors, ammonia and its derivatives, and mercury vapor. The filter protects against organic compounds with a boiling point > 65°C, inorganic compounds with the exception of carbon monoxide, acid gases and vapors, and ammonia as long as their total volume concentration does not exceed 0.5% and the oxygen concentration in the air is a minimum of 17% by volume. The F 21/80-P3 filter can be used to protect the respiratory tract against dusts, fumes, mists and aerosols, when loaded with 120 mg of sodium chloride and 120 mg of paraffin oil. The filter meets the requirements of the EN-143:2000 standard in class P3, which defines the degree of protection against dusts, highly dispersed suspensions, mists and aerosols, as well as liquids with micron-sized particles.
