The tandem collimator-magnifier system is an extremely popular solution mainly due to its flexibility. Using a pivoting mount, the device can be easily placed in the axis of the collimator, providing 3x magnification and the ability to fire comfortably at medium distances. When not in use, the device rests comfortably on the side of the carbine, not restricting the field of view when aiming.
