The AT3 Tactical two-stage trigger is characterized by a low weight of 4.5 lb (about 2 kg) and a short and clear reset. Unlike the single-stage trigger, the initial pull of the trigger tongue, picks up the slack and leads to the so-called "wall" (perceptible resistance to breakthrough). After slightly increasing the pressure on the tongue, a fully controlled firing occurs, effectively improving accuracy. The initial stage of the pull (to initiate the uncoupling of the cocking catch) has a slight resistance of 2 lb (907 g), in the second stage it increases linearly to 2.5 lb (1100 g).
