The unit is based on a titanium housing combining extreme impact and corrosion resistance with extremely low weight. The body has been designed for maximum durability with which the Holosun LE117 laser target pointer stands out from its basic counterpart. The IIIA laser guarantees the user high contrast against the target, allowing the device to be used even in intense light. Two modes - low and high - are put at the user's disposal. The former allows operation in limited light without blinding the shooter, while the latter allows use in full sunlight.
