The unit is based on a titanium housing combining extreme impact and corrosion resistance with extremely low weight. The body has been designed for maximum durability with which the Holosun LE221-RD laser target pointer stands out from the models of the basic line. The laser target pointer has received an emitter that generates a laser beam in the infrared range, making it invisible to the eye, while fully functional in night vision. An additional IIIA laser, on the other hand, guarantees the user a beam in the visible range and high contrast against the target, allowing the device to be used even in intense light. Two modes - low and high - are put at the user's disposal. The former allows operation in limited light without blinding the shooter, while the latter allows use in full sunlight.
