Plegium Smart is distinguished by its innovative approach to our safety. Unlike traditional Plegium pepper gases, to increase our safety the thrower uses bluetooth wireless transmission, which is used to pair the device with an app on our smartphone. The app is free and is available for Android and IOS phones. Pairing and configuring Plegium takes less than a minute and any smartphone user can handle the activity.
With the Plegium app, we can define a group of 5 people who will be sent notifications when the blaster is used. The Plegium alarm machine makes a voice call (in Polish), informing the person close to us about the incident, and sends an sms with our exact location (link to Google maps). There is not only material evidence for law enforcement, but also the basis for receiving a new device. Plegium shoots a powerful pepper gas of 2 million SHU, in the form of a concentrated jet, whose effective range is 3 m. The gas content of the Plegium Mini provides 10 to 15 seconds of continuous use. The dense gas is virtually invulnerable to side winds and rain, and can also be used in confined or tight spaces.
An element that adds to the gas's effectiveness is theUV agent, which leaves a permanent mark on the perpetrator's clothing. The agent is visible only under UV light and can be detected even 2 weeks after washing the clothes.
Pepper gas is an effective defensive agent with a temporary incapacitating effect. A few seconds after application, it causes a painful burning of the skin, uncontrollable tearing of the eyes and severe irritation of the respiratory tract combined with a choking cough. An aggressor treated with gas has a reduced ability to perceive, experiencing a range of unpleasant stimuli and general disorientation, during which he is unable to take coordinated action. In the Plegium Smart thrower we have additional deterrent tools in the form of a loud alarm siren and a blinding strobe light.
The130 dB loud alarm and 19 Hz strobe light turn on automatically when the gas is used and remain active until they are turned off via a hidden switch. The loud siren and blinding strobe light are effective in deterring an attacker and forcing them to flee the scene.

The Plegium Smart has a lightweight and durable plastic body that is resistant to weather and mechanical damage. The contoured grip prevents the nozzle from being accidentally covered by the index finger. To increase the safety of use, the gas ejection button is protected by an external flap, which prevents accidental gas activation during handling or in case of a fall. Batteries with a 4-year warranty are used to power the device, so that the thrower will be constantly ready for action for a long time. To ensure that our thrower is always within reach, an ingenious snap hook with a magnetic link is used to carry it. Thanks to such functionality, the Plegium Smart can be attached to a purse, belt or other item of clothing and, in case of emergency, can be instantly disconnected without having to unfasten the snap hook.
