Ase Utra SL5i .30 5/8 "x24 UNEF is a high-performance suppressor with good damping properties, designed for hunting and sport shooting.
When hunting, only a few shots are usually fired, while in sport shooting competitions, a 10-shot series is usually evaluated. When mounting a suppressor on a semi-automatic weapon, special care should be taken not to overheat the device during shooting, which can lead to permanent damage.
Features of Ultra ASE suppressors:
- excellent ratio of suppressor size to suppressing properties
- lightweight and compact aircraft aluminum construction
- excellent fit
- high mechanical strength and wear resistance
Ase Ultra SL5i suppressors - proven suppressors for hunters and sport shooters
Ase Utra supp ressors are manufactured from high-quality materials, with specifications matched to the intended use. CNC technology is used during production, so that all Ase Utra suppressors are characterized by high precision manufacturing and perfect fit. The muffler body is manufactured from stainless steel type 300 and partially protected with thermoset Cerakote paint.
SL5I is one of the basic models of ASE UTRA silencers. The suppressor can be equipped with a BoreLock mechanism, allowing for instant installation/removal on the barrel. The Ase Ultra SL5i is designed for slide-and-turn lock weapons in calibers from .223 Rem to .308 Win.
In addition to the high silencing of the firing sound, the suppressor also noticeably reduces the recoil of the weapon during firing. The recoil compensation and suppressing properties are most noticeable when shooting subsonic ammunition. It is worth noting that the suppressor does not reduce the initial velocity of the bullet and does not adversely affect the accuracy of the shot. However, it can change the average hit point, since the mass of the suppressor can cause the barrel to vibrate. As a result, the hit point may be different than when shooting the same weapon without a suppressor installed. Therefore, after the suppressor is installed on the weapon, adjustments should be made to the aiming instruments.
The manufacturer has achieved a good balance between weight, size, shot sound suppression efficiency and price. Sound suppression is at 22 - 25 dB, which is a good result in this price class. Mounted on the barrel, the suppressor extends the weapon by only 118 mm, which, combined with its low weight (about 340 g), does not noticeably change the weapon's balance. The suppressor is designed for weapons with a maximum caliber of 7.62 mm/.30 with a barrel ending in a 5/8 "x24 UNF thread.
Recommendations for use
The manufacturer recommends that a maximum of 10 shots be fired in a single round, then stop shooting to cool down the suppressor.
