The Tophunt NV-900 has an IPX4 sealed polymer construction that is weatherproof, so the night vision device can be safely used in snowfall and high dust environments. The night vision has a contoured grip for good grip during observation, and a 1/4" socket designed for stable mounting of the device on a tripod.
The Tophunt NV-900 uses a 40 mm lens (F 1.3), a sensitive 1/3" 5 Mpix CMOS sensor, and anti-reflective coating to increase light transmission. The device has 4.5× fixed optical zoom × and 5× digital zoom. The high-resolution matrix allows zooming without noticeable loss of quality. To ensure long range, the night vision device uses a 3 W infrared illuminator with a wavelength of 850 nm, which allows observation of objects in total darkness up to 300 m away. The night image is emitted in shades of gray. During the day, when there is plenty of light, the image is emitted in color. The adjustable infrared beam and 6× optical magnification make the processed image of high quality, free of noise and interference. The night vision device has a 4" display with a resolution of 640 × 480 (a 2" matrix with a lens that magnifies the image to 4"). The display with a lens makes the light of the screen more diffuse and does not illuminate the observer's face. The linear field of view at 100m is 6.8m.

The Tophunt NV-900 allows you to record HD 30 FPS video with sound and take photos with a maximum resolution of 2592 × 1944. For recording we can use a micro SD card with a maximum capacity of 32 GB (not included). A useful feature is the recording and shooting schedule, which allows you to schedule a time interval during which the night vision device will automatically record video or take pictures. The night vision device has a useful wide output, with which we can connect the binocular to a TV (PAL or NTSC standard) or laptop (USB port).
