The headset has a bluetooth module and a dynamic microphone with noise cancellation, especially useful when talking in noisy environments. The Peltor WS Alert X ear protectors have adjustable attenuation for listening to ambient sounds, which helps maintain situational awareness. The Peltor ear protectors use 2 AA R6 batteries to provide up to 78 hours of continuous use.
