The spotting scope has a one-piece 25.4mm diameter tube made of anodized aircraft aluminum with a matte finish. Thanks to the scope's thorough sealing and filling with dry nitrogen, the optics are resistant to dew (internal fogging) and insensitive to weather conditions. The scope's robust construction and the use of a compensating mount allow the optics to be used also on powerful high-energy spring windguns. The lenses are coated with anti-reflective coating, which increases light transmission and provides a bright, sharp image of the target, even when shooting in lower light. There is a ring on the eyepiece for fine adjustment of focus. The scope also has a variable magnification of 3-9×, so the shooter can choose between a wide field of view or a close-up image of the target. The 40mm objective lens provides good brightness and allows comfortable low-light shooting.

The Diana 3-9x40 rifle scope uses the popular Duplex sight reticle consisting of 4 thick arms, with thin hairlines in the center. Duplex is one of the most popular target reticles, which allows both precise and fast shooting in changing light conditions. The reticle is adjusted with covered drums with a clique value of 0.25 MOA. The 40mm objective provides good brightness and allows comfortable shooting in low light conditions. Changing the drum setting is confirmed by a clear and loud click, so we can accurately and efficiently correct the reticle settings.
There is a ring on the lens that allows smooth compensation of parallax error from 9.6m to infinity. Parallax correction allows you to fine-tune the focus of the image depending on the distance at which you are shooting.
