TheCZ 457 LRP cal. 22LR is a precision shooting sports carbine equipped with an ergonomic stock, varmint cold-forged barrel and match type cartridge chamber.

The CZ 457 LRP carbine is designed to maximize the capabilities of the side-firing cartridge and ensure the highest precision shooting.

TheCZ 457 LRP was created with precision shooting at 100 and 200 meters in mind, so the rifle uses a professional-grade stock that provides perfect folding in the recumbent stance, individual adjustability and high stability when shooting. The stock has a matte soft-touch finish and aggressive texturing on the grip and bed to increase control of the rifle.

The length of the stock can be adjusted with removable flask foot inserts (351-382 mm), which has an additional height adjustment. A cutout for a support hand has also been made within the flask, and a rail for mounting a monopod has been installed at the bottom. The manufacturer also did not forget to use avertically adjustable cheek stock. The carbine has a cold-forged, thick-walled barrel with a length of 525 mm, which guarantees excellent repeatability and precision shooting, as well as great durability. The fluted barrel is terminated with a 1/2 × 20 thread, on which an efficient compensator is mounted.

CZ 457 LRP - varmint .22 LR for long shot competition

A new feature used in this carbine model is the firing pin tension indicator, which makes it easier to quickly check the status of the weapon. Another innovative solution is a convenient breech removal system, without having to press the trigger tongue, which significantly speeds up the partial disassembly of the weapon.

The CZ 457 LRP also features a MATCH breech chamber, previously used only in the 457 MTR model. The user is also able to remove the breech and unload the weapon with the safety on. The CZ 457 family carbines feature a new trigger mechanism, which allows adjustment of the trigger force from 8 to 15 N and the length of its path 0.5-7 mm. The manufacturer has also upgraded the design of the firing pin, the weight of which has been reduced by nearly 60%, resulting in a faster clang and less shock after firing.

Users will also appreciate the reduced angle of rotation (by 30°) of the reloading lever, which allows comfortable use of scopes with a large eyepiece or low mount. The carbine is equipped with a Weaver accessory rail with a 25 MOA micro-bevel, indispensable for shooting at longer distances.

The carbine is fed from a removable magazine with a capacity of 5 rounds. Standard buckles (two at the front) allow the attachment of a stabilizing belt or bipod.
