If we plan to take an axe into the field, it is worth taking care of the proper safety of our tool. In the case of an axe, the simplest and at the same time the most practical protection is a cover that slides over the blade. The sheath is made of thick cowhide shortening, treated with a warm brown color. In order to make it easier and faster to remove and put the sheath on the axe, a brass calico knop and a leather strap were used to fasten the sheath.
