TheLyman Digital Trigger Strength Meter is designed to accurately measure the trigger weight of sporting, hunting and combat weapons.
The meter allows you to make precise trigger weight measurements of up to 12 pounds (5.44 kg). For weapons with a sporting match trigger (up to 2.2 kg), the meter makes a precise measurement with an accuracy of 2 g. For weapons with heavier trigger weights, the measurement error is still marginal at only 10 g.
Lyman digital trigger weight meter - check the weight of the trigger on your weapon
The device has an easy-to-read LCD display, an extendable swivel trigger catch (lockable) with a non-slip shaft, and a simple and user-friendly interface operated with 4 functional buttons.
The Lyman trigger force meter automatically calculates the average trigger weight based on 10 individual readings. To get the average measurement value, press the "AVG" button. If you want to get a new average value, remember to press the "CLEAR" button beforehand. Measurement results can be expressed in pounds gaps kilograms. The meter is powered by 2 AAA batteries, which, thanks to the use of automatic sleep mode (when the device is inactive), provide a long operating time.
Measurement range:
1-12 lbs/ 2.8-5.4 kg
Measurement accuracy:
- 0-5 lbs: ± .1 oz
- 5-12 lbs: ± .5 oz
- 0-2.2 kg: ± 2 g
- 2,2 -5,4: ± 10 g
Attention.
Before measuring, make sure the weapon under test is unloaded and pointed in a safe direction. It is recommended to fix the weapon in a padded support (such as a shooting bag), a vise or a gun cleaning stand. An unloaded weapon requires manual reloading before each trigger force measurement. Using the gauge on a loaded firearm (while firing) will result in incorrect readings. An unloaded firearm must be manually reloaded and unlocked (fuse disengaged).
