The Kershaw Monitor is a folding knife designed for right and left-handed users. It owes this feature to the DuraLock lock and a clip that can be attached to either side of the handle. The whole is complemented by a D2 steel blade, a comfortable handle and a hole for a key ring or lanyard.
D2 steel and Drop Point head
The 76-millimeter long, black Drop Point profile blade, with its pronounced curve of the blade's belly and a ridge that gently slopes toward the tip, has a sturdy hilt and good cutting qualities. This makes the Kershaw Monitor an all-purpose knife for simple jobs around the house, garden or out of town.
The D2 steel used in the production of the folder combines exceptionally high resistance to dulling with good stainless steel. It is also characterized by aggressiveness of cutting.
Kershaw Monitor folding knife - flipper and DuraLock lock.
The knife opens with a flipper. It is protected from closing by a double-sided DuraLock lock, similar to the otherwise well-known Axis Lock. The system uses an omega-type spring and is considered very secure. The lock is conveniently operated with the thumb.
Kershaw Monitor folding knife - linings
The body of the folder is made of black steel. It is sheathed with facings made of G-10 polymer, which is a laminate of fiberglass layers embedded in epoxy resin. The material is resistant to impact, chemical agents and low or high temperatures. Thanks to its rough texture, the handle fits well in the hand. A hole for a lanyard or key ring has been drilled in its lower part.
Kershaw Monitor and discreet carry
Thanks to the use of a special clip , the Kershaw Monitor folding knife can be carried deep in a trouser pocket or backpack. The above features make the folder prove itself as an everyday tool and a complement to your EDC kit.
