The low, 3.5-inch boot uppers are made of Cordura. The material is made from a combination of polyamide and polyurethane coating, additionally finished with Teflon. This makes the Cordura surprisingly resistant to abrasion and relatively lightweight. GORE-TEX membranes protect the boots from getting wet. As a result, feet stay dry even in heavy rain or walking through snow. The membrane is also responsible for wicking away the moisture released by the body. Good ventilation keeps feet thermally comfortable and ensures that they don't bruise easily.
