The Civivi Pintail is an EDC folding knife, distinguished by its careful craftsmanship and durability. The blade is made of CPM S35VN, a wear- and corrosion-resistant stainless steel that maintains its working sharpness for a long time and is relatively easy to sharpen. The steel has been hardened to 59-61 HRC. Drop point type blade provides good cutting performance. The Black Stonewash finish has made the blade covered with irregular, fine scratches, well masking the subsequent scratches, formed during normal use of the knife.
The folder is equipped with ceramic ball bearings, supporting the operation of the knife's opening mechanism. The Liner Lock makes the tool safe and trustworthy. The Civivi Pintail opens with a flipper or thumb stud.
The handle facings are made of dark green Micarta - a composite made from a combination of pressure-pressed canvas and synthetic resin, lightweight and not susceptible to mechanical damage. Smoothed edges of the facings improve grip security and make the knife fit well in the hands.
Thanks to the open backed design , the tool can be cleaned without much trouble. The manufacturer also took care of convenient transportation of the knife, equipping it with a clip on both sides.
