GLx prismatic sights combine the speed of target entry with a collimator, the precision of an optical sight and compact size, which is why they are a popular choice not only for astigmatists, but also for shooters looking for a versatile sight for short and medium range shooting.
The American brand Primay Arms, famous for its high-quality optical sights, collimators, prismatic sights and shooting accessories, has taken the American market by storm, offering products with great value for money. Most of the brand's products come with a lifetime warranty, which emphatically emphasizes confidence in the products offered. Primary Arms is also famous for its proprietary ACSS target reticle, thanks to which novice shooters can improve their shooting skills in no time.

After rigorous testing, the GLx line of optics received a silver rating from the National Tactical Officers Association and an award in the "Best CQB Optics" category of Ballistic's Best 2020 Editors' Selects Awards. These awards are given by firearms users in several categories including small arms, rifles, and optics. Ballistic's Best Editors' Selects awards recognize products that outperform the competition in various aspects. In the CQB optics category, the GLx 2x Prism series won the jury's trust with its combination of innovation, reliability and design. GLx combines advanced technology, robust materials and affordable prices, making the brand's products an attractive alternative to much more expensive top brands.
A major innovation of the GLx series is the use of AutoLive motion-sensing illumination, as well as premium optics with low dispersion. The Primary Arms GLx 2X Prism Scope has a compact form factor, fixed 2× magnification, and a glass-etched proprietary ACSS target reticle that works with the illumination on or off.
The Primary Arms GLx 2X is a prism scope with a fixed 2× magnification that allows easy target identification at medium range, as well as fast shooting with both eyes on targets at close range. Many shooters face the problem of astigmatism, an ocular affliction that causes the aiming point to become blurred/distorted, etc., when using a collimator. This makes it difficult to aim especially at small, far away targets. This problem can be solved by replacing the collimator, with a much more expensive holographic sight, a running scope or a prismatic sight, which is breaking records of popularity overseas.
Primary Arms GLx 2X prismatic sight is an ideal solution for any astigmatist
Unlike collimators, magnification prismatic sights have a BDC sighting reticle, a much clearer image devoid of parallax error. They also provide greater precision when shooting at longer distances, while allowing binaural aiming with situational awareness. The compact aluminum body is only 135 long and weighs 312 grams. The sight's rugged sealed construction provides resistance to fog, rain and shock. The sight has a 12mm exit pupil and allows for a long eye relief. As a result, the Primary Arms GLx 2X prismatic sight provides a wide field of view and is great for fast shooting, where you don't always have time to properly assemble for a shot. Thanks to the AutoLive motion activation, the battery life has been extended up to 20,000 hours. After prolonged immobility, AutoLive automatically turns off the sight illumination, which is immediately restored when the weapon is moved.
The proprietary ACSS reticle can be used without or with backlighting adjustable in a range of 11 intensity levels. The first three brightness settings are night vision-compatible and are only visible when the NV device is used. The two highest settings, specified as DAYLIGHT BRIGHT, allow comfortable use of the sight even in bright sunlight. Turning the illumination knob as far as it will go, in either direction, turns off the illumination of the aiming point. Setting the appropriate power of the illumination ensures good contrast between the reticle and the target, the speed of entering the target without straining the eyesight.
TheACSS CQB M5 is Primary Arms' proprietary reticle scaled to the ballistics of 5.56 NATO, 5.45×39 mm, 6.8 SPC, 6.5 Grendel and some .308 Winchester rifles. The ACSS CQB M5 reticle has a thinner chevron (inverted V) in the center surrounded by a thicker horseshoe. Underneath the chevron, a graduation scale has been included for applying fallout corrections. The result is an intuitive reticle that is great for dynamic shooting at short range and precision shooting at medium range. With this reticle we can carry out fallout compensation (at distances up to 457 m), estimate the distance to the target, and thanks to the bold horseshoe, move smoothly between moving targets. ACSS is an extremely simple yet functional sighting system, the advantages of which have been appreciated by beginners and experienced shooters around the world.
The 2nd generation prismatic sights use a solid aluminum mount with key steel components, which guarantees a stable and reliable zero hold. Primary Arms GLx 2X has a mini-Acog mounting base. Included: prismatic sight, Picatinny rail mounting base and 3 elevations of different heights.
