Unlike collimators, magnification prismatic sights have a BDC sighting reticle, a much clearer image free of parallax error. They also provide greater precision when shooting at longer distances, while allowing binaural aiming with situational awareness.
The viewfinder has a sealed aluminum body with IP67 protection standard, providing resistance to fog, rain and shock. The viewfinder has a 10.3mm exit pupil and a generous eyebox, which allows for quick folding without the need to maintain the correct optical axis. As a result, the Primary Arms SLx 1X prismatic sight provides a wide field of view and is wonderfully suited for dynamic shooting at moving targets, where we don't always have time to properly fold in for a shot. The ACSS Gemini is Primary Arms' proprietary reticle scaled to the ballistics of 9mm pcc carbines. The ACSS Gemini reticle has a thinner chevron (inverted V) in the center surrounded by a thicker horseshoe. Beneath the chevron is a dotted graduation scale for applying fallout corrections. The result is an intuitive reticle that is great for dynamic shooting at short range and precision shooting at medium range.
