An upgraded version of the HIKMICRO Thunder Pro TE19C thermal imaging cap, bringing this highly successful design up to the latest standards. By optimizing the device's performance, HIKVISION engineers have achieved a substantial increase in the model's operating time - it will now allow up to 10 hours of continuous operation. The refresh rate of the device has also been changed, which, thanks to an increase to 50 Hz, now guarantees extremely high smoothness and, consequently, comfort of observation. In addition, the model has been given the possibility with audio recording, as well as activation of recording by sensing the recoil of the weapon on which it is mounted. However, the cap still retains the advantages of the original - an extremely compact design and excellent image quality, offering effective detection of game.
NOTE: In order to properly mount HIKMICRO 2.0 series caps on the scope, it is necessary to select a suitable adapter compatible with the 2.0 line or Rusam ARM52 adapters without a reduction ring. Sockets of the 2.0 line are not compatible with older type adapters manufactured by HIKMICRO.
Construction of the HIKMICRO TE19C 2.0 thermal imager
The HIKMICRO Thunder PRO TE19C has a lightweight and durable body made of aluminum alloy (magnalia). This makes the Thunder Pro TE19C, at 187.2 × 62.5 × 59.2 mm, the lightest unit in its class on the market. The aluminum construction also guarantees resistance to shock, impact and weather conditions. The body has been protected against water, dust and moisture (IP67 rating), so the cap is resistant to any weather conditions that may occur during hunting. It is extremely important to be quiet during the hunt for game, so rubber buttons with noiseless operation have been used to operate the cap.
Modular design of the thermal imaging cap
One of the main advantages of HIKMICRO thermal imaging caps is their modular design, thanks to which one device can perform various tasks. We offer the necessary accessories to make the HIKMICRO thermal imager your favorite tool for hunting and observation. The accessories are fully compatible with all HIKMICRO Thunder thermal imagers, so everyone can adjust them to their own needs.
Excellent image performance
The HIKMICRO Thunder PRO TE19C 2.0 uses a sensitive 256 × 192 px sensor with <20 mK sensitivity, a high-quality 1024×768 px OLED display, a 19mm lens and a functional rangefinder. The lower the NETD value, the better the sensor detects temperature differences of objects, which contributes to excellent image quality. Such parameters ensure a clear image in any environmental conditions, so the cap can be used in total darkness, fog, smoke, dust, as well as rain and snow. The thermal imager has an optical magnification of 1× and allows target detection at a distance of up to 1,000 meters.
In sight mode, the HIKMICRO Thunder PRO TE19C 2.0 has the popular PiP (picture-in-picture) function that allows the hunter to simultaneously and precisely observe the target while maintaining a wide field of view. Thunder also uses digital zoom in the 2×, 4× and 8× ranges.
The hunter has 4 of the most popular display modes available, and can choose between:
- White hot - warm in bright color. The higher the temperature, the brighter the tone.
- Black hot - warm in dark color. The higher the temperature, the darker the tonality.
- Red hot - image as in "black hot" with red highlighting of the warmest elements.
- Fusion - from high temperature to low temperature, the image is colored from white, yellow, red, pink to purple.
Thermal image technologies:
- DDE (digital detail enhancement) - digital detail enhancement, smooths the image while emphasizing details,
- 3DDNR (3D digital noise reduction) - digital noise reduction, effectively removes noise and affects image quality,
- AGC (automatic gain control) - automatic gain control, improves the contrast of the displayed scene.
Variable targeting reticles (thermal sight mode)
HIKMICRO Thunder PRO TE19C 2.0 offers 5 ballistic profiles , each of which can be individually adjusted to our preferences and needs by selecting one of 10 types of crosshairs, each of them shooting precisely at a selected distance or choosing a color option that suits you, as well as the option to completely disable the reticle when using the device in cap mode or for simple observation. An addition that all hunters will appreciate is the static rangefinder, which allows distance measurement based on factory values or user-defined settings. The HIKMICRO Thunder PRO TE19C 2.0 provides not only excellent support during hunting, but also in observation and patrol activities.
Functionality of the HIKMICRO Thunder hunting thermal imager
The Thunder thermal imager is powered by the included dedicated performance batteries. The operating time in this version reaches up to 10 hours and can be increased by connecting a power-bank (USB-C port). The upgrade also added a charging function for the thermal imager via the USB-C port. The device has 16GB of built-in memory to store captured images or video footage. In addition, images can be transmitted via Wi-Fi to a phone or other device on which the appropriate app (Android or iOS) has been installed.
