The dagger head is made of D2 powder steel, which is characterized by high wear resistance, good sharpness retention and high cutting aggression. D2 powder steel referred to as semi-stainless steel, which is the steel with the highest corrosion resistance within carbon steels. The high carbon and fine carbide content provides high hardness and wear resistance, resulting in excellent edge retention.
