The 90mm long dagger head is made of D2 powder steel, which is characterized by high wear resistance, good sharpness retention and high cutting aggression. D2 powder steel referred to as semi-stainless steel, which is the steel with the highest corrosion resistance within carbon steels. The high carbon and fine carbide content provides high hardness and wear resistance, resulting in excellent edge retention. The D2 powder steel blade will require more attention and regular maintenance due to the low chromium content responsible for corrosion resistance.
The slender dagger profile blade has a dark Black Oxid Stonewashed finish (abrasive stone bath and black oxidation), which effectively masks any scratches or abrasions to the blade that result from use.
