The Fortis Fidelis Axe from Condor is a tactical axe that takes its name from the motto of the Chilean Marine Corps, which is "Fortis Atque Fidelis" (strong and faithful). More than 200 years ago, "marine corps soldiers" were given the mission to form the Assault Force, one of whose pieces of equipment was the "boarding axe," on which the current design is modeled.
The Fortis Fidelis axe wasdesigned by Walter A. Matthews, who is a specialist in survival techniques. He also served as an officer in the Chilean Marine Corps for more than 20 years. In 2005, he founded the first Survival and Primitive Skills school in Chile. As a SERE instructor, he also trained Special Forces operators in survival techniques.

Cordage axe made of high quality materials
The Fortis Fidelis axe with Full Tang construction was made from a single piece of high-carbon 1075 steel, which is characterized by high wear resistance and is also relatively easy to sharpen, which means that repairing the cutting edge can be handled in the field as well.
The axe's blade is finished with a sharp cutting edge on one side, while the other side has a spike that easily pierces obstacles encountered in its path.
Axe with the highest quality linings
The manufacturer has taken care of the highest level of user safety, so the axe has Micarta linings that guarantee a secure and safe grip, even with wet or dirty hands.
In the back of the handle there is a hole for attaching a wrist cord, which will prevent the axe from accidentally slipping out of your hand during work.
The Fortis Fidelis axe is supplied with a blade sheath made of durable Kydex, which effectively protects the tool during handling.
