The Condor Plan A is a large, sturdy fixed-blade knife that is sure to become the favorite knife, the "Plan A," of many a bushcraft or survival art enthusiast, and the strong, long Bowie-type head, sculpted micarta handle and kydex scabbard will convince doubters.
The head was forged from 1075 high-carbon steel, providing excellent cutting edge retention and high strength and wear resistance. While 1075 steel is relatively easy to sharpen, it should be noted that the alloy does not contain chromium, so it is not corrosion resistant and requires proper care and maintenance.
The anatomically shaped handle is made of black micarta, which is jute pressed under pressure with synthetic resin. As a result, the handle fits perfectly in the hand, is durable and resistant to moisture. Brass rivets hold the whole thing together.
The knife comes with a double-sided kydex scabbard. It is equipped with a leather loop, allowing you to carry the tool at your belt.
