AR-15 Live Free Armory Battle Rifle - a lightweight American carbine
The carbine is based on the Direct Impingment gas system, in which powder gases are discharged through a side opening in the barrel directly onto the slide. The use of this system makes the weapon characterized by low weight. The breech and trigger chamber, standard for AR-15 carbines, is made of milled aluminum covered with a durable coating created by the anodizing process.
TheLFA Battle Rifle has been equipped with a 16-inch-long barrel, which is a successful compromise between maneuverability and ensuring adequate bullet velocity. The surface of the barrel was subjected to a nitriding process, to protect it from harmful factors - primarily the corrosive effect of gases produced during the combustion of gunpowder. The barrel is finished with a thread with a factory-installed Birdcage-type flame suppressor. The bed received M-LOK standard holes distributed at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock to allow the installation of a foregrip and flashlight. The Picatinny rail located at the end of the bed, on the other hand, will allow you to mount a bow tie or lighting module.
