The Primary Arms anti-reflective shield for the GLx 1X MicroPrism scope is a shield that reduces glare and acts as an additional protection for the lens from damage. It is made of anodized alumunium in black and is screwed directly onto the lens. Shields of this type were originally used by snipers as part of their weapon camouflage. It is also extremely helpful in keeping the glass clean, free of dirt and debris that can scratch the lens. Eliminating the glare of the scope will also be helpful when hunting, as bright reflections can potentially scare away deer. The shield nullified the reflection of light from the surface of the optic, effectively preventing the detection of the shooter's position.
Features of the Primary Arms anti-reflective shield:
- Characteristic honeycomb design for increased durability
- Significant reduction of light reflections and thus the shooter's visibility through the target
- Constructed of alumunium protected by anodizing
- Fits GLx 1X MicroPrism optics only
- It is screwed directly onto the lens
Honeycomb structure
With a honeycomb-like design that draws inspiration from nature, the cover for two key features: it is highly resistant to stress and damage, and it effectively shields against the sun's rays reflecting off the lens. The shield protects the optics from scratches, impacts from small solid objects, and effectively reduces the visibility of the shooter's position.
