Mechanism of operation
The pistol is a classic small-caliber weapon powered by.22 LR side-loading ammunition. Due to its low energy, a classic lightweight free lock supported by a return spring was used here. The notches for extracting the lock are accentuated. The advantage of such a solution is that the weapon is easier to operate even for those with weaker hands like women or younger shooting adepts.
Safeties and manipulators
The gun has two types of essential safety features. The primary one is an adjustable left-side wing safety located on the frame, just under the thumb. Its ergonomics are similar to those of the Colt M1911. The second is an internal firing pin lock. The magazine release button is integrated into the base of the bail. Just above it is located the breech drop lever from the rear position after the last shot.
Targeting instruments
The Buck Mark Black Label pistol is equipped with adjustable Target Pro mechanical sighting instruments (bow tie and scimitar). Two 22mm Picantinny standard rails are also located on the frame. One is located on the top of the body, the other smaller one is located on the bottom, in front of the breech. They allow the installation of additional accessories in the form of a small collimator, flashlight or laser pointer.
Precision barrel
A thick-walled precision barrel with a length of 4" (101.6 mm) was used here. It was made of stainless steel and given a rectangular profile. It is stationary during shooting, which significantly affected accuracy. The length of the aiming line is 171.5 mm.
Magazine and pistol grip
The pistol has a metal magazine for 10 cartridges. It is equipped with protruding donor elements for easy loading. The ergonomically angled grip is covered with two laminated wood overlays. It is possible to replace them with compatible UFX, URX or UDX grips .
