Civivi Stormhowl - a modern EDC knife in Nitro-V steel in the Kolba hunting store.
The blade is made of Nitro-V. It is a stainless, martensitic steel with high chromium content. The alloy was enriched with nitrogen and vanadium. This increased the hardness of the material, while reducing susceptibility to corrosion. Because of the last property, Nitro-V is used in tools used in humid environments. The steel performs very well as a material used in the production of tactical, hunting and EDC knives. It has been hardened to between 58 and 60 HRC.
The folder is equipped with ceramic ball bearings, supporting the operation of the knife's opening mechanism. The Button Lock makes the tool safe and trustworthy. Thanks to it, the Stromhowl can be opened by gravity. A flipper can also be used to open it . Thanks to the open backed design , the tool can be cleaned without much trouble. The manufacturer also took care of convenient transportation of the knife, equipping it with a deep carry clip on both sides.
