Swedish steel used for the blade in the Ruike P841-L knife
The 90mm long blade is made of Swedish 14C28N stainless steel hardened to 58-60 HRC. Swedish 14C28N steel is an excellent choice when it comes to a bushcraft knife.
Manufactured by the Swedish company, Sandvik 14c28n stainless steel has a high chromium content (14%), which provides impressive corrosion resistance and good cutting edge retention. The high carbon and manganese content (0.62%) makes 14C28N steel hard (about 58 HRC) and resistant to wear.
One of the biggest advantages of 14C28N, besides its high corrosion resistance, is its ease of sharpening, which means that you can also handle blade repair in the field with a pocket sharpener such as the Lansky QuadSharp QSHARP.
Blade locking in the Ruike folder
When unfolded, the blade is locked using the Liner Lock mechanism, supported by an additional adjustable "safety lock". The use of a double lock increases the level of safety when using the knife.
The steel locking bar provides a high level of safety, and its operation is very intuitive and convenient. A reliable lock is an important element calling for the functionality and safety of the folding knife.
