Like the combat version, the Glock 17 gen 5 air rifle has a metal lock and a Coyote-colored polymer skeleton, whose non-slip texturing is consistent with the original. The gun has a two-sided dummy breech drop, an enlarged magazine latch and an integrated funnel for easy magazine changes. It's worth noting that the design of the airgun is so compatible with the original that standard firearms holsters, i.e. Safariland or Blackhawk, can be used to carry the gun.
After mounting the capsule and loading the shotgun, the weight of the airgun is almost the same as a real Glock 17 generation 5 pistol (without ammunition).
Powerful recoil of theCO2 windcheater
The air rifle shoots 4.5mm round steel shot, which we load into a metal magazine that extends from the handle with a capacity of 18 rounds. We also install a 12gCO2 capsule in the magazine. Installation of the capsule is simple and quick. Using an allen wrench, we remove the screw, insert the capsule and tighten the screw to a perceptible resistance. This form of power supply allowed the use of a powerful Blow-Back system, which is responsible for realistic recoil after firing.
The effective and perceptible "kick" of the airgun makes us have an irresistible impression of shooting a firearm. One capsule allows you to fire up to 120 shots with a leveled initial velocity of 115 m/s, which is a very good result for a blow-back airgun. It should be remembered that the performance of shots, is most affected by the air temperature and the dynamics with which we shoot.
Attention to detail
The Glock 17 gen 5 air rifle has a DA trigger mechanism and a trigger safety, which prevents accidental shots and forces the correct finger placement on the trigger tongue. This solution is implemented from the Safe Action mechanism used in the Glock series. The revolver has most of the unique features of the Glock 17 Generation 5 combat pistol, i.e. a textured grip, enlarged magazine release and an accessory rail.
The pistol uses fixed sighting instruments, i.e. a white dot bow tie and bezel-mounted sights. Contrasting markings speed up instrument ripping, and also allow shooting in low or residual light.
The front of the frame features a short Weaver mounting rail, allowing the use of additional shooting accessories such as a laser target pointer or flashlight. Licensed Glock company markings, as well as the pistol's serial number, are applied to the lock and the skeleton of the airgun.
