Lesovik GROZA is a universal hiking tarp, which is perfect for use as a hammock canopy and a canopy over a bed on the ground.
Lesovik GROZA - universal hiking tarp
The Groza UL tarp is unrivaled in the full-size tarp category, as it weighs just 540 g, which is about 60% lighter than standard camping tarps. The Groza creates a lightweight, durable and easy-to-use hiking shelter that provides adequate space for 2-3 backpackers. The tarp can be instantly deployed in several ways, creating a shelter from the sun and rain, an ultralight tent, a screen, as well as a fine tipi. Thanks to its extinguished color scheme, the Groza tarp easily blends into the forest environment, so our overnight stay does not attract attention. The dimensions of GROZA 3 × 3 mm provide enough space for camping, resting and sleeping even for several people. Under the tarp you can take shelter from the weather, repack your backpack, prepare a meal and sleep peacefully. With an area of 9m2, you can easily fit a standard hammock under the tarp, which will thus protect you from nighttime precipitation.
Durable materials
For the construction of GROZA we used silylon material in a microripstop weave with water resistance of as much as 6000 mm H20. According to the manufacturer, this standard is twice as high as contemporary market standards. The fabric is also windproof and resistant to mechanical damage. The fabric is also windproof and resistant to mechanical damage. The fabric's strength is due to the aforementioned microripstop weave, which protects the fabric from shredding in a puncture situation. The mounting elements are laser-cut from Hypalon (rubber-nylon laminate) are made to use trekking poles as a frame. The use of 19 lashing points facilitates accurate weatherproofing and allows the tarp to be used freely in a variety of roles, including as a gabled canopy, monopitch, "diamond", shelter and closed hammock tent. In addition, after lifting one side on trekking poles, we can create a spacious canopy. Combining several GROZA tarps makes it possible to create an outdoor pavilion for several people.
To increase durability, the lashing mounts were made of laser-cut Hypalon - a rubber-nylon laminate, used, among others, in the production of military equipment and mountain pontoons. The new version of the tarp dispensed with the polyamide webbing sewn onto the back, replacing it with a triple-lined seam. This not only allowed to reduce the weight of the tarp, but also influenced the functionality, since thanks to this operation the tarp can be stretched more easily and evenly.
Tarp Lesovik GROZA - easy installation.
The tarp's ease of assembly is ensured by the integrated rope tensioning mechanism. The suspension system is simple and can be easily operated with one hand, in addition, without knowledge of knots. Simply attach the rope to the ground and tension it. The cable tension regulator automatically locks the cable and prevents it from loosening. The back lashings have mini hooks, so attaching the tarp to trees is done without the need for knots. To set up the tarp, 4 pegs are required (not included).

The most popular ways to unfold the tarp
Laying out the tarp according to the situation
Summer - Warm, mild conditions, no rainfall.
In this case, it is a good idea to hang the tarp up high to increase the distance from the hammock and provide more air circulation. Mount the lashings of the tarp wide so as not to create a barrier to incoming air. The tarp will mainly protect you from falling leaves, needles or pieces of bark from trees.
Autumn - Windy conditions, possibility of precipitation. In such conditions, hang the tarp lower, closer to the hammock. Mount the lashings wide so that the wind slides over the tarp and does not push excessively on its sides.
Hang the tarp at normal height, but mount the lashings closer to make the sides of the tarp form a slightly steeper canopy - this will leave less snow on the tarp and put much less strain on it.
Hang up the tarp then in the form of a tent using hiking poles. Attach the lashings on one side directly to the ground, this will reduce the negative impact of driving rain.
