Thanks to carefully selected prisms and the use of UHD (Ultra High Density) low dispersion optics, the image is crystal clear, has amazing resolution with a huge amount of detail.
The optical system is built with large Abbe-Koenig prisms and advanced XR Plus anti-reflective coatings applied to all air-to-glass surfaces. This makes the processed image bright, clear and full of detail even in residual light. The UHD system has a longer optical path, providing a sharp and contrasting image across the entire field of view.
The durability of the coatings is ensured by Plasma Tech, a plasma-based coating process. Unlike coatings used in cheaper binoculars, the dielectric coating increases reflectivity, resulting in a sharper, more natural image. The binoculars also feature phase correction responsible for increasing contrast and optical resolution of the image seen, and APO lenses with chromatic aberration correction across the visual spectrum.
Lightweight and durable body of Vortex Razor UHD binoculars
The Razor UHD binoculars have a sturdy and lightweight magnesium alloy body, protected from the elements by a rubber armor with a non-slip texture. The optics are filled with argon gas, which prevents the lenses from fogging up in environments with high humidity or sudden temperature changes. Unlike the most commonly used nitrogen, argon is a much heavier gas, which prevents it from escaping from inside the binoculars. The binoculars come with a GlassPak harness case, which is ideal for safely carrying your optics while providing quick access to them.
