The 14.5-inch-long barrel was made by the well-recognized tuning parts manufacturer Wilson Combat. It is characterized by excellent manufacturing precision and durability. The carbine is equipped with a mid-length gas system, which optimizes the performance of the mechanism and reduces recoil. The LAR-15 CQB TYR has a free-float aluminum bed with M-LOK slots, which allows the installation of additional equipment such as sights, flashlights, foregrip or laser systems. The model has received an ergonomic, non-slip Hogue pistol grip and a proprietary RRA flask with a comfortable tank profile.

The carbine is equipped with a standard Picatinny rail on the back of the chamber and bed, which allows mounting a variety of optical and mechanical sights. The lack of factory instruments allows full customization to suit the user's preferences. The LAR-15 CQB TYR model is distinguished by full double-sided manipulators. Both the fuse and latches on the trigger chamber, as well as the tension lever, allow operation on both the left and right sides of the weapon.
