EDC knives in the offer of the Kolba hunting store
Theslim blade with an aggressive Reverse Tanto profile has a striking black finish, which effectively masks any scratches or abrasions to the blade from use. Thanks to the use of a narrow hilt, concave grind and a cutting edge with an almost straight line, the knife has excellent cutting properties, and the blade does not wedge in the material. The thickness of the blade at its widest point is 3.5 mm, which is a compromise between durability and functionality of the knife in everyday work.
The blade is made of tough and durable D2 tool steel hardened to 58-61 HRC. D2 is a carbon steel with superior corrosion resistance that cuts extremely aggressively, has excellent retention (ability to hold sharpness) and is highly resistant to wear and damage. D2 is a great alternative to expensive premium steels because it has great cutting properties, is hard and highly resistant to abrasion. Its sharpening requires a lot of work and a suitable sharpener (preferably diamond), but this is compensated for by long edge retention and less frequent sharpening.
Safe and comfortable use of the Kizer knife
TheKizer Groom outdoor knife is equipped with black carbon fiber handle linings. The handle provides a comfortable grip and makes the knife fit well in the hand.
The liners are attached with two screws, which can be easily removed and the included G10 plastic liners can be installed. The shape and texturing of the linings provide a secure and safe grip even with a wet or dirty hand.
In order to carry the knife conveniently and safely, the kit comes with a plastic sheath equipped with holes for attaching a cord and hanging the knife around the neck. This way of transporting the knife is extremely convenient during camping in the woods, when we want to have constant and easy access to our tool.
Thelightweight EDC knife Kizer Groom by a Polish designer is certainly an interesting proposition not only for lovers of functional EDC tools, but also for collectors.
