The tool is designed to fit into the breech chamber of the carbine, centering in it and fitting perfectly into the bolt chamber. Once inserted, the Real Avid tool can be easily rotated and effectively cleans the surface of the cartridge chamber and bolt.
The interior of the Chamber Boss tang serves as a transport compartment for cleaning accessories - a wiper, brush and scraper, which are secured from the top with a locking nut.
In order to ensure adequate comfort in servicing the weapon, the user also receives a Pivot Lock tool in the kit, which keeps the weapon in the open position during cleaning.
