The Work Sharp Ken Onion Edition Mk.2 Grinding Attachment is an upgraded version of the Ken Onion Edition Electric Grinding Attachment that allows you to shape, grind and polish your blade. It fits the Ken Onion Edition Mk. 2 electric sharpener.
Generation II of the Work Sharp Ken Onion Edition Grinding Attachment has been designed in favor of providing the user with easier and more comfortable work.
Changes from Generation I:
- The unit is equipped with a sanding belt guard and rubber feet for stability during operation
- Grinding profile adjustment in 3 positions without tools
- Ability to adjust the angle during operation with an ergonomic knob
- Convenient marking of the selected angle facing forward
- Grinding plate and 90° pressure plate allow quick sharpening of knife backs or re-profiling of blades without vibration
- Mounting to the Ken Onion Edition Mk.2 sharpener requires no tools
- Easy repositioning of the central transport roller without tools

The attachment features a sturdy polymer-metal construction to withstand the stresses of grinding and shaping the blade. The attachment connects to the sharpener without the need for tools. Replacing the abrasive belts is also a simple and quick operation that we can do ourselves.
Precise adjustment range in Ken Onion Blade Grinding Attachment
Various gradations of 25.4 x 457 mm sanding belts can be used in the attachment. Belt tension is controlled by a system of 4 rollers, adjustable from 10° to 35° (with an accuracy of 1°).
The belt speed, depending on the type of operation to be performed, can be set in the range of 1200-2800 SFM (square feet per minute). The position of the central transport roller can be easily changed without tools, allowing us to adjust the tension (height) of the abrasive belt depending, for example, on the type of knife grind.
The Work Sharp Grinding Attachment allows precise operation with both hands and with full visibility of the process for quick and easy results.
The Blade Grinding Attachment enhances the already high functionality of the Ken Onion Edition Mk.2 sharpener, allowing additional grinding, blade re-profiling and polishing without the need to purchase an additional, expensive device.
