The Magpul PMAG 25 LR/SR GEN M3 Window magazine is the third generation of the M118LR 25-round magazine for SR25/M110 rifles in 7.62 × 51 mm/.308 caliber. The magazine is designed to meet the requirements of the most demanding users.

Magpul PMAG magazines combine high quality workmanship and convenience of use. The third generation retains all the advantages of its predecessors, while incorporating new materials, enabling use with a wide range of weapons, such as the S&W M&P 10 and Noveske Gen III N6. The stop prevents the magazine from being over-seated in the slot on models other than the SR25/M110. The design is suitable for ammunition longer than SAAMI-spec match, up to a maximum length of 71.88mm.

With a USGI-spec-compliant stainless steel spring, a tilt-protected pusher and an evenly bent internal layout, the magazines are characterized by high operating culture and longevity. The design allows for easy maintenance without tools, and the more aggressive texturing improves grip in a wet or dirty hand. The manufacturer has included an indentation system at the bottom of the magazine, making it easier to describe the magazine with a marker.
Markings on the pusher and barrel, as well as an anti-glare finished window, allow quick and precise assessment of the amount of ammunition in the magazine. The tapered footplate improves convenience with two- and three-position loaders, is more drop-resistant and easy to remove. A detachable cover is included to protect the magazine from contamination.
Note: The magazine is compatible with older Bushmaster .308 ORC, Remington R-25, and DPMS LR308 rifles, but has not been optimized to function with the breech latch of newer DPMS GII-based versions. It is also not compatible with the Armalite AR-10B, Springfield Armory M1A, Rock River Arms LAR8, FN SCAR 17S, PTR-91, HK417, or any models using magazine patterns from the M14, FN FAL, or HK 91/G3.
