Thanks to hand-selected prisms and the Premium HD (High Density) ultra-low dispersion glass used, the image is crystal clear. Other optical advantages include XR anti-reflective coatings, with which all lens elements have been coated to increase light transmission. The phase of the BaK4 prism has been improved, giving us a sharp and high-contrast image across the entire field of view.
Dielectric multilayer reflective coatings have been applied to the roof prisms, instead of the aluminum coatings used in cheaper binocular models. The dielectric coating increases reflectivity, resulting in a sharper, more natural image.
TheRazor HD 12×50 binoculars have a magnesium housing, used to reduce weight without sacrificing strength. The binoculars have been filled with argon gas, which prevents the lenses from fogging up in high humidity environments or with sudden temperature changes. Unlike the most commonly used nitrogen, argon is a much heavier gas, which prevents it from escaping from inside the binoculars.
