The Benchmade OTF Shootout knife is a compact OTF(Out The Front - Extendable) automatic knife with a folding CPM-CruWear stainless steel blade. The knife unfolds and retracts via a slider on the side of the handle. The grip liners are made of two halves of Grivory plastic in plum purple. For better grip they are covered with a special elegant texturing. This model will be perfect as a tool for everyday use (EDC).

Durable blade
The elegant Tanto profile head has been fully coated with a dark-colored protection coating. The way of finishing effectively masks all kinds of traces of work, protecting the surface from scratches. The renowned CPM CruWear tool steel was used in the construction of the blade. Crucible Industries brand steel hardens to an optimal hardness of 63-65 HRC, so it maintains high sharpness for a long time, has high mechanical strength, and is also resistant to corrosion. When choosing a hard steel knife, get a diamond sharpener, as sharpening with a standard ceramic whetstone can be very labor-intensive and inefficient.
Immediate unfolding
The blade is unfolded by moving the mottled slider forward, folding only requires moving the slider back in the opposite direction. The piece has deep milling, so it does not slip in the hand and can also be operated with gloves.
Internal safety features
The blade is only extended and folded when the slider is fully and controlled, so the knife is safe to use and carry. Inside the knife is a counterweight on springs that gives momentum to the blade. The blade itself is locked in both front and back positions by pivoting pins in 3 places. This makes the whole process lightning fast and, most importantly, completely safe.
Ergonomic handle
Comfort and ease of handling the knife is ensured by a lightweight handle made of Grivory plastic. This is a modern polyamide, with high resistance to high temperatures, reaching up to 250 degrees Celsius. The grip has a profiled shape, its surface has been textured, which guarantees excellent grip to the hand and prevents the knife from slipping.
