Functionality and durability of the Kizer Cabox knife
The Kizer Cabox knife is made with Full Tang construction , which means that the knife is made from one solid piece of steel with the liners applied to it. This ensures a really high load capacity for even the most demanding jobs you would use it for. This makes it perfect for hiking, camp work and any outdoor activity. However, this knife can also be successfully carried with you on a daily basis, and will also perform well in simpler tasks.
The 3.2 mm thick Drop Point head guarantees high strength useful for heavier work such as chopping wood, and the use of a high flat grind will ensure great cutting properties.
American tool steel
The knife has an 85.3mm long blade, made of hard 154CM tool steel, hardened to a hardness of 59-60 HRC. 154CM is a high-carbon stainless steel enriched with molybdenum, so it can be described as an improved version of 440C.
American 154CM steel is valued for its resistance to corrosion and wear (high impact strength), long maintenance of working sharpness and relative ease of sharpening.
The blade, with a usable Drop Point profile, is finished by satin (polishing). The matte blade is easier to clean and does not reflect light.
Handle - secure grip and comfort at work
The handle of the Cabox 1048C1 knife is covered with liners made of G10, a composite of fiberglass and synthetic resin. The linings have smooth edges, providing a comfortable grip even during prolonged work. The handle itself has been properly contoured with an additional cutout just below the head. This provides a secure grip and comfort, and prevents the hand from accidentally slipping on the cutting edge, acting as a gut. The handle is finished with a large hole, which makes it easy to retrieve the knife from the sheath.

Included with the Cabox knife is, of course, a sheath. It was made of Kydex, which ensures long durability and confidence in holding the knife inside without the risk of accidental slipping out. It has a molding against which you can rest your thumb when pulling out the knife and a small hole has been added at the bottom to act as a drain, making it even easier to clean inside.
The sheath is convenient to carry horizontally on the belt regardless of which side of the body you hold it. It will thus appeal to both left- and right-handed people. The spacing and width of the fasteners also allow it to be attached to webbing in the molle system and become part of the equipment, for example, on a tactical vest.
