American tool steel in the Kizer Assassin knife
The Drop Point profile head is made of Nitro-V steel. It is a stainless, martensitic steel with high chromium content. The alloy was enriched with nitrogen and vanadium. This increased the hardness of the material, while reducing susceptibility to corrosion. Because of the last property, Nitro-V is used in tools used in humid environments. The steel performs very well as a material used in the production of tactical, hunting and EDC knives. It is hardened between 61 and 62 HRC.
Robust Clutch Lock in Kizer knife
The Kizer Assassin knife uses an innovative Clutch Lock lock. The design of the lock consists in placing a double-sided bolt in the handle, which locks the blade when the knife is opened.
The knife is opened with a finger pin, which is convenient for both right- and left-handed users.
Modern materials
The Kizer Assassin has handle linings made of blue Denim Mircarta - a composite made by combining pressure-pressed canvas with synthetic resin. The rough texture and smooth edges of the linings make the knife feel good in the hand.
The folding knife is equipped with a clip for easy carrying when the knife is fixed against the edge of a pants pocket.
