The 155mm-long body is made of aircraft-grade aluminum finished with HAIII anodizing process, creating a durable protective coating with high resistance to scratches and abrasion. The wide head is finished with a raised steel ring that allows vertical positioning of the flashlight without risking damage to the optics. The milling of the body improves the grip and grip of the flashlight and gives it a modern style. Thanks to the flat base, the flashlight can be placed vertically (the "candle" function) and efficiently illuminate the interior of the object being explored.
The device uses the Luminus SFT70 LED. The user has five general modes and two flash modes - S.O.S. and strobe. The manufacturer has equipped the flashlight with a rotary switch, allowing easy control of the device. Thanks to such functionality, the flashlight can be conveniently operated with one hand and instantly activate the illumination of the intensity needed in a given situation. The location of the switches on the side of the flashlight (under the thumb) makes the use and change of light parameters very intuitive and convenient.
The flashlight uses an intelligent proximity sensor that automatically detects when the head is too close to the illuminated object. When the distance from the object is reduced, the flashlight automatically reduces the brightness level. When the flashlight head moves away from the illuminated object, the flashlight controller automatically restores the previous brightness level. The OLED display showing brightness level, power output, charging status and battery level is also a great convenience.

The Fenix LD45R is powered by a built-in 5,000 mAh battery, charged via a USB-C port. A rubber plug protects the socket from moisture, rain and dust.
For the sake of safety and proper operation, the flashlight is protected against reverse polarity. The IP68 rating makes the device completely resistant to dust and dirt, fine solids, full immersion in water (for 30 minutes at a depth of 2 meters). The flashlight can also withstand a fall from 1 meter.
