Kershaw Bel Air with CPM MagnaCut powder steel blade
The knife has a 79mm long blade made of CPM MagnaCut super stainless steel produced with powder technology. The main difference between CPM MagnaCut steel and other stainless steels is the amount of chromium. The elimination of chromium carbides from the steel's composition has resulted in a fine microstructure, making CPM MagnaCut much easier to sharpen compared to steels with similar wear resistance.
The absence of chromium carbides has not only improved the balance of strength and wear resistance, but also its resistance to corrosion. CPM MagnaCut combines the strength of CPM-4V, the corrosion resistance of CPM-20CV, the retention of CPM-CruWear/ CPM-4V and an impressive hardness of as much as 64 HRC, making it now considered one of the world's best steels used in factory-made knives.
The blade has a Stonewashed finish and satin finish, which effectively masks any scratches or abrasions to the blade from use.
Convenient folding of the Kershaw folder
The blade can be conveniently and quickly unfolded with one hand by means of a double-sided peg, which is convenient for both right- and left-handed users. KVT ball bearings ensure a high level of performance and smooth opening of the blade.
Robust locking mechanism in the Bel Air knife
The DuraLock lock used in the Kershaw folder, similar to the otherwise well-known Axis Lock, is double-sided. The system uses an omega-type spring and is widely considered to be very secure. The lock is placed in such a position that it can be operated comfortably with the thumb.
Carbon fiber liners - lightweight and durable
The Kershaw Bel Air 6105CF has liners made of lightweight and durable carbon fiber, which, in addition to its striking appearance, ensures the knife's minimal weight - just 71 g. The gently contoured liners provide a secure and comfortable grip on the knife. The handle also features a hole for attaching a rope or paracord braid. A finger indentation in the front of the handle further enhances user safety.
Convertible clip in EDC knife
Discreetly carrying the knife in a pocket is made possible by the Deep Carry clip, which can be mounted on either side of the handle.
